Promotion of the Construction of 'Songpa Family Center and Daycare' in Geoyeo-dong, Songpa-gu
Participation in the Living SOC Complex Project Contest as Part of the Comprehensive Development Plan for Geoyeomacheon Area
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is promoting the construction of the ‘Songpa Family Center and Daycare’ in the area of 194-3, Geoyeodong, Songpa-gu as part of the ‘Geoyeomacheon Area Comprehensive Development Plan.’
The district plans to build a combined family center providing customized family services and a public daycare center on the public office site to be donated by the Geoye 2-1 Redevelopment Association, aiming to open in 2025. The building will have a total floor area of 1,836㎡, with one basement floor and four above-ground floors.
Once the ‘Songpa Family Center and Daycare’ is established, it is expected to meet the increasing childcare demand in the Geoye and Macheon areas, provide various services needed by families in one place, and become a local family communication space.
This project will be promoted through the 2022 Living SOC Complex Project competition. The Living SOC Complex Project is a business that gathers multiple public convenience facilities closely related to citizens’ daily lives (such as libraries, family centers, daycare centers, etc.) in one space to improve land use efficiency and user convenience. The results of the competition application will be announced by the Office for Government Policy Coordination in September.
