Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, Announces Public Contest for Citizen Happiness Club Support Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 5th that it is recruiting organizations for the ‘2021 Citizen Happiness Club Support Project’ until the 19th.
The purpose of this project is to support citizens to communicate based on hobbies and preferences and to feel happiness through community activities.
Gwangsan-gu plans to select about 20 groups and provide activity funds ranging from 800,000 to 2,000,000 KRW.
Clubs or groups with five or more members who are either residents of Gwangsan-gu or employees working in Gwangsan-gu can participate in the application.
Last year, 10 organizations participated, including musical, ukulele, reading, sports, and volunteer groups.
This year, Gwangsan-gu doubled the budget to 20,000,000 KRW to support more groups.
