The Jinju area vaccination center has been set up on the first floor of the Chojun-dong Comprehensive Indoor Gymnasium. The city plans to subdivide the approximately 3,400㎡ public space into reception area, vaccination area, computer registration area, monitoring area, central supply room, and call center, and open it around mid-March.
This place is designated for administering Moderna and Pfizer mRNA vaccines, which must be kept at ultra-low temperatures.
Jinju City is building a system to enable daily vaccinations of 600 people by July, when 70% of all citizens are expected to start vaccination, by organizing one team with 4 doctors, 8 nurses, and 30 administrative staff.

Mayor Cho Gyu-il said during the inspection, "Since the center is large, I carefully conducted a safety inspection by walking through the entire flow of entrances and exits, heating and cooling facilities, and social distancing feasibility," adding, "The space for monitoring adverse reactions for 15 to 30 minutes after vaccination will always be kept warm so that vaccinated citizens can rest comfortably without feeling cold."
