T'way Air Offers 50kg Free Baggage Allowance for Japanese International Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] T'way Air announced that from the 5th to the 27th, it will conduct a special promotion offering special discounts on air tickets and free baggage allowance of 50kg for international students booking and boarding flights on routes to Japan.
Currently operating flights from Incheon Airport to Tokyo (Narita), Osaka (Kansai), and Fukuoka, T'way Air has prepared various benefits for international students departing ahead of the new academic term starting in April in Japan.
Considering the characteristics of international students who carry a lot of luggage, a total of 50kg of free baggage allowance is provided: two checked bags of 20kg each and one carry-on bag of 10kg. An additional 20% discount on the fare is also offered when booking tickets. The discount is applied by selecting 'International Student' under the personal status discount option during the passenger information input stage of the reservation process.
During the promotion period, one reservation cancellation and up to two reservation changes are exempt from fees. This applies only to customers who purchase tickets at or above the event fare and change their itinerary via the website, mobile web, or app before the check-in deadline on the day of boarding.
The benefits for international students can only be used if supporting documents can be verified at the Incheon Airport counter. Acceptable documents include visas, residence cards, or certificates of eligibility for residence status that indicate purposes of 'study abroad' or 'working holiday.'
Additionally, T'way Air is the only domestic airline providing free shuttle bus services from Narita Airport to downtown Tokyo and from Kansai Airport to downtown Osaka. This service aims to reduce the economic burden and inconvenience of individual transfers and to assist passengers' convenience. The free shuttle bus operates under strict quarantine rules such as seat disinfection and social distancing between seats. This benefit is available for purchases of Smart Fare or higher, and prior application is required by one day before departure after purchasing the ticket.
Detailed information about the special promotion can be found on T'way Air’s website, mobile web, and app.
