The city has formed a joint inspection team with the Miryang Office of Education to conduct inspections from the 3rd to the 10th at 52 locations including schools and kindergartens to ensure safe meal provision.
The joint inspection team checks the cleaning and disinfection of meal service equipment in cafeterias, regular pest control disinfection of dining rooms, availability of hand sanitizers, proper temperature maintenance of refrigerators and freezers, and whether expired products are stored or used.
In addition, ingredients frequently used in meals or those with a high risk of food poisoning will be collected to test for food poisoning bacteria such as pathogenic E. coli and Salmonella, as well as residual pesticides.
