Ministry of Science and ICT Appoints Kang Byung-sam as Chairman of the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 4th that Kang Byung-sam, former head of the Intellectual Property Strategy Planning Division (photo), will be appointed as the chairman of the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation effective the 5th.
Newly appointed Chairman Kang was appointed by the Minister of Science and ICT after review and recommendation by the Special Zone Foundation Executive Recommendation Committee in accordance with the provisions of the "Act on the Operation of Public Institutions." The term of office is three years. Chairman Kang previously served as head of the Intellectual Property Strategy Planning Division, head of the National Science and Technology Advisory Council Support Division, and director of the Future Talent Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning.
