Muan-gun Begins Full-Scale COVID-19 Vaccination at Care Facilities
County Governor Kim San Checks Vaccination Status and Encourages Medical Staff

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 2nd that it conducted COVID-19 vaccinations for 121 residents and workers of nursing hospitals, starting with Jeongdawon Nursing Hospital, followed by Muan Silver Small-scale Nursing Home and Hanseung Silver Care Nursing Home.
On the day, Governor Kim San visited Jeongdawon Nursing Hospital to check the vaccination situation outside the hospital while complying with quarantine rules and encouraged the medical staff.
The first person vaccinated at Jeongdawon Nursing Hospital was Director Moon Ji-hwan. To enhance the safety and reliability of the vaccine, the medical staff representative was vaccinated first, followed by residents and workers in order.
The vaccination team from the public health center visited the facilities to administer the vaccines. To prepare for adverse reactions, the condition of the vaccinated individuals was closely monitored for 30 minutes, and a 119 ambulance was on standby to respond to emergencies such as anaphylaxis.
The county has formed and is operating a regional vaccination council with related organizations such as the police station and fire station to ensure safe vaccination. It has also established a cooperative system by designating Muan Hospital, an emergency medical institution, and Mokpo Hanguk Hospital, a regional emergency medical institution, as emergency patient transport institutions.

Governor Kim San said, “We are thoroughly managing vaccinated individuals so that residents can feel at ease, including monitoring the condition of vaccinated persons daily for seven days after vaccination at nursing hospitals and facilities and entering the data into the vaccination management system.” He added, “We will maintain vigilance until the end to ensure that COVID-19 vaccinations for workers and residents of nursing facilities proceed without any issues.”
