Seongbuk-gu Achieves 138.1% of Fundraising Goal for '2021 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign'
862 Fundraising Cases, 1.381 Billion Won Raised... About 370 Million Won More Than Last Year
On December 30th last year, the Seongbuk-gu Tongjang Council donated 1.5 million won for a warm winter, and on February 9th, the Youth Guidance Council delivered 2 million won in donations to the district. In addition, 862 fundraising cases have continued since November last year.

The 'Warm Winter Campaign' is a winter neighbor-helping project jointly promoted every year by the 25 autonomous districts of Seoul and the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest.
Donations and goods contributed by residents are used for vulnerable neighbors such as basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, people with disabilities, and single-parent families.
The fundraising through this project, which started last November, totaled 862 cases and 1.381 billion KRW. Among these, 437 cases of in-kind donations amounted to 1.1248 billion KRW, and 425 cases of cash donations raised 256.6 million KRW.
This is an increase of 372 million KRW compared to 1.09 billion KRW in the previous year.
This year, major donors included the Korea Veterans Firefighters Welfare Clinic (103.2 million KRW), BR Tax (77.6 million KRW), Save Leader (45.5 million KRW), Na Kyung (440.7 million KRW), One Door Apparel (42.5 million KRW), Seongbuk Jeil Saemaeul Geumgo (31.47 million KRW), and The Joeun Trading (30.5 million KRW).

Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, "We raised 380 million KRW more than the district's fundraising goal of 1 billion KRW," and added, "Despite the economically difficult conditions due to COVID-19, I deeply thank the residents, companies, organizations, and citizens who extended warm hands to their neighbors."
