'Gangwon Bio Integrated Solution Center' Opens on the 2nd... 'Supporting the Bio Industry'
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province and Chuncheon City are establishing the 'Gangwon Bio Integrated Solution Center' at the Chuncheon Bio Industry Promotion Agency to resolve and support the difficulties faced by bio companies within the province. The center will open on the 2nd.
According to the province on the 1st, the 'Gangwon Bio Integrated Solution Center' will primarily focus on supporting companies developing COVID-19 diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines this year, and in the long term, it plans to support proactive responses to new infectious diseases.
Gangwon Province will form a specialized support organization and build a network that enables continuous consultation among administration, experts, and companies.
Through this, it will provide support for regulatory relief, administrative assistance such as government approvals, clinical trial efficiency support, and systematic investigation and analysis of Gangwon's bio industry.
Earlier in January, Governor Choi Moon-soon of Gangwon Province visited the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and clinical trial hospitals ahead of clinical trials and export approvals for COVID-19 related products from local companies, requesting cooperation.
The opening ceremony is expected to be attended by Governor Choi Moon-soon of Gangwon Province, Mayor Lee Jae-su of Chuncheon City, and local members of the National Assembly. A meeting will be held to encourage bio companies and listen to their difficulties.
