View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS Retail announced on the 1st that it will hold a 'Product Design Planning and Development Contest' in collaboration with Konkuk University’s Department of Fashion Design starting from the 2nd. All students of Konkuk University’s Department of Fashion Design can freely participate individually or in teams.
This contest is held under the theme of 'Developing Differentiated Fashion Masks.' It reflects the social phenomenon where masks, in the prolonged 'with COVID-19' era, have become not only daily essentials but also important fashion items expressing individual personality.
The first round of judging will be conducted on March 29 based on the submitted designs and idea descriptions by the deadline of the 26th. After passing the first round, participants (teams) will produce prototypes, which will be evaluated in the second round of judging on April 14, and the final winners will be selected. The judging will be jointly conducted by GS Retail product planners and professors from Konkuk University’s Department of Fashion Design.
