312 New COVID-19 Cases Reported by 6 PM... Around 400 Expected Tomorrow

According to the quarantine authorities and local governments, as of 6 p.m. that day, 253 new cases (81.1%) were reported in the metropolitan area, and 59 cases (18.9%) in non-metropolitan areas. This is 57 more than the 255 cases reported at the same time the previous day.
By region, there were 145 cases in Gyeonggi, 91 in Seoul, 17 in Incheon, 16 in Busan, 12 in Gyeongbuk, 9 in Daegu, 8 in Chungbuk, 4 each in Jeonbuk and Gyeongnam, 3 in Gangwon, and 1 each in Ulsan, Gwangju, and Chungnam. No confirmed cases have yet been reported in Daejeon, Sejong, Jeonnam, or Jeju.
Since the count continues until midnight, the total number of new cases for the day is expected to reach the high 300s to around 400.
Looking at major infection cases on this day, cluster infections linked to workplaces, family, and acquaintances' gatherings occurred in various places. In a one-room apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, a total of 13 confirmed cases, including secondary infections, have been reported as of this day.

Additionally, 10 cases were confirmed related to a daycare center in Dongducheon-si, Gyeonggi, and 5 and 3 family-related cases were confirmed in Cheongju and Jincheon, Chungbuk, respectively. Confirmed cases continue to emerge from previously identified cluster infection sites.
