The newly appointed full-time Vice Chairman graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration and completed a master's program at Harvard University. He passed the 27th Administrative Examination and served as Director General of the Industrial Policy Bureau and Director General of the Energy Resources Bureau at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, retiring from public office after serving as Vice Minister of the ministry. Since 2016, he has also served as CEO of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.
