Gangwon Province Deputy Governor for Economy, Kim Myeongjung Appointed, Former Ministry of Economy and Finance Official
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province will appoint Kim Myung-jung, Director of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, as the new Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs effective March 2.
On the 26th, the province stated, "With the goals of overcoming disasters and economic challenges and promoting the 4th Industrial Revolution as this year's provincial administration objectives, we plan to actively respond to post-COVID government fiscal policies and smoothly carry out various provincial administrative tasks, including achieving the national fund acquisition target of 8 trillion won."
Kim Myung-jung, the new Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs, is known as a suitable candidate with expertise in the economic field and political capabilities.
Deputy Governor Kim graduated from Seoseok High School in Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, and Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration. He completed a master's program in Business Administration at Georgia Tech in the United States and was appointed through the 40th Administrative Examination.
He has since served as Director of Regional Economic Policy, Director of State Property Policy, Public Relations Officer, Director of Legal and Budget Affairs, and Director of Budget Management at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance.
