Dongshin University Operates 'Grade-Level Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Education Program'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Gender Equality Center at Dongshin University announced on the 26th that it has developed and is operating a "Customized Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Education Program by Academic Year for University Students."
The program was created based on surveys of current students' needs, program analysis, and advice from external advisory members, and it is a step-by-step education program for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors and seniors.
In the first year, students learn about gender sensitivity and understanding of human rights; in the second year, they study actual cases and coping methods for various types of sexual violence and sexual harassment; and in the third and fourth years, they receive education on victim support and protection as well as prevention of secondary damage.
Various educational methods that allow students to actively participate and engage in activities have been introduced to enhance the effectiveness of the education.
