TIPA to Hire 26 Full-Time New Employees This Year, Including 15 in the First Half
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA, President Lee Jae-hong) announced on the 26th that it will publicly recruit 15 new employees from May 5 to 12 through its first half recruitment announcement.
TIPA, a public institution under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, is scheduled to relocate to Sejong City in May. It is responsible for supporting research and development (R&D) and smart factories for small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, with a record-high support budget of 1.8 trillion KRW this year.
This year, the number of new regular employees to be hired is 26, which is 10% of the agency’s total staff (262). Through the first half recruitment announcement, 15 employees will be hired first. The recruitment fields are △ R&D policy planning, △ data analysis, and △ R&D evaluation management, with 13 general positions and 2 research support positions (permanent).
The recruitment process involves submitting applications online from May 5 to 12 by 6 p.m., followed by four stages: document screening, written test, competency interview, and final interview. The final appointment will be made in May.
All recruitment processes comply with the NCS-based blind recruitment standards. To fulfill social responsibility and secure public interest as a public institution, a selection quota system is applied for candidates from the relocation areas (Daejeon, Sejong, Chungcheong). Preferential scoring is also applied for vulnerable groups such as low-income families and single-parent families, and the research support positions are conducted as a restricted competition for persons with disabilities.
To prevent the risk of COVID-19 infection, quarantine guidelines from health authorities will be strictly followed. Hand sanitizers, masks, and partitions will be provided for interviewees, and video interviews will be prepared in case of feverish candidates.
Lee Jae-hong, President of TIPA, said, "Starting with the first half recruitment announcement, we will strengthen expertise and organizational capabilities in various fields by hiring employees such as public officials, PMs, and professional committee members. We will also expand youth intern recruitment to revitalize the employment market, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
