Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Launches Patrol Activities to Prevent Wildfire Fires
Twice Daily Riverbank and Field Inspections Throughout March
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Im Jongbok) announced on the 25th that it will conduct patrols to prevent wildfires.
The patrols, which will take place throughout next month, will be conducted twice daily, morning and afternoon, by the Volunteer Fire Brigade (Captains Lee Giyeop and Yoon Miseon) along riversides (Hwangryonggang, Yeongsangang, Pyeongdongcheon) and fields in Gwangsan-gu, areas vulnerable to wildfires.
The plan aims to prevent wildfires caused by crop burning and to ensure safety along riversides where bicycle paths and exercise facilities frequently used by citizens are located.
