Haenam-gun Supports Safety Insurance Premiums for 23 Local Daycare Centers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that it will support the insurance premiums for safety mutual aid association enrollment for 23 daycare centers in the area to improve the childcare environment and reduce the operational burden of daycare centers.
The support for enrollment in the daycare center safety mutual aid association has been implemented since 2019 to establish a compensation system for various safety accidents involving infants and toddlers that may occur at daycare centers.
The main coverage includes life and bodily injury of infants and toddlers, sudden infant death syndrome rider, playground facility liability, and gas accident liability. Especially from this year, coverage has been expanded by adding fire (building, fixtures) and fire liability riders.
The coverage amount guarantees 100% of out-of-pocket medical expenses for all infants and toddlers receiving care at daycare centers in the area, with personal liability coverage of 500 million KRW per person and a limit of 3 billion KRW per accident. The insurance coverage period is one year, from next month 1st to February 28, 2022.
