Hamyang-gun, Reopening of Hamyang Herbal Science Museum
Providing Attractions Such as Exhibitions and Experiences Complying with Quarantine Guidelines, Fully Promoting Hamyang Sansam Anti-Aging Expo
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it will resume operation of the Hamyang Herbal Science Museum, which had been closed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), starting from March 2.
The Hamyang Herbal Science Museum had suspended operations on December 9 last year due to the spread of COVID-19, but will reopen following the downgrade of social distancing to level 1.5, and will operate in accordance with quarantine guidelines.
The Hamyang Herbal Science Museum features a unique building exterior shaped like the waterway of an agricultural irrigation channel. The first-floor exhibition hall provides explanations about Hamyang wild ginseng grown in germanium soil, and visitors can watch a video about the legend of Seobok, who came to Hamyang to find the immortal herb by the order of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
Especially, the second-floor exhibition hall offers various attractions, including a Sasang constitution analyzer that allows visitors to identify their body type through fingerprints, and displays of various herbal medicines.
The Hamyang Herbal Science Museum strictly follows COVID-19 quarantine guidelines and operates from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed on Mondays.
