According to ABC in the United States on the 22nd, Jasmine Harrison (21) set off from the Canary Islands, Spain, on December 12 last year, rowing 4,828 km across the Atlantic Ocean and reached Antigua Island in the West Indies on the 20th.
The woman rowed for two hours every day, and her total rowing time was 70 days, 3 hours, and 48 minutes.
A former swimming instructor, she became the youngest woman in the world to row solo across the Atlantic. The previous youngest woman was American Katie Spotz (22) in 2010.
Since deciding to participate in rowing competitions in 2018, Harrison continued practicing and this time competed in the "world's toughest rowing" competition.

It was reported that she encountered a giant striped marlin in the middle of the Atlantic and rowed through areas covered with seaweed.
On the 18th, Harrison faced a major crisis when her boat capsized about 160 km from her destination, Antigua Island.
Being a former swimming instructor, Harrison safely got back on the boat but injured her left elbow and received remote medical consultation over the phone.
After the consultation, Harrison told the doctor, "I am overcoming the pain. I think I can complete the journey," adding, "I became happier and calmer because of the crisis."
She overcame the difficult situation and persevered to the end. As she neared land, Harrison raised the British flag and lit a smoke signal to announce her arrival to people.

Harrison described her journey as "an amazing experience," saying, "There are both good and bad memories. But I enjoyed the chance to get away from everyday life."
She added, "I was away from social media, news, literally everything. Nothing compares to this experience," sharing her thoughts.
The event organizer, Atlantic Campaigns, regularly tracked Harrison's location and helped ensure she safely reached her destination.
