On this day, the campaign was carried out together with Changwon City's Green Leaders to inform citizens about the severe climate crisis and the need to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Participation through YouTube video comments and a pledge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1 ton per person were also conducted simultaneously.
At the campaign site, Sinwol-dong bus stop, there is a QR code that allows citizens to watch promotional videos raising awareness about the climate crisis anytime. The same QR codes were installed last December at Changwon Station, Gyeonghwa Station, and Yangdeok-dong Homeplus bus stops.
Since 2013, the city has designated the 22nd of every month as Climate Action Day, promoting five climate actions for Changwon citizens: participation in the Carbon Point System, use of public transportation, bicycle use, eating vegetarian meals, and installation of Green Touch devices.
