On the afternoon of the 22nd at the National Assembly, People Power Party Education Committee members Kwak Sang-do, Cho Kyung-tae, Bae Jun-young, Jung Kyung-hee, and Jung Chan-min stated, "The People Power Party will not board the train of legislative dictatorship taking place in the Education Committee."
The Democratic Party of Korea had referred the "Act on the Establishment and Operation of the National Education Committee" (National Education Committee Act) to the Agenda Coordination Committee. In response, People Power Party Education Committee members said, "The ruling and opposition parties have agreed to hold a public hearing on the National Education Committee Act again, scheduled for the 23rd, and witnesses have already been confirmed," emphasizing, "The public hearing should proceed as planned, and since a temporary session of the National Assembly is scheduled for March, the National Education Committee Act should be reviewed according to the proper procedures."
They continued, "The ruling party unilaterally requested the formation of the Agenda Coordination Committee, claiming that the opposition is obstructing the bill, employing their usual tactic of blaming the opposition," criticizing, "This reveals their true intention to focus solely on fulfilling the pledges made by the Moon Jae-in administration, disregarding cooperation and proper bill review, and insisting on passing the bill at all costs."

The People Power Party did not submit the list of recommended members for the Agenda Coordination Committee by the 2 p.m. deadline that day. People Power Party Education Committee members stated, "In December, Chairman Yoo Ki-hong carried out a schedule disruption, and now, alternating with ruling party whip Park Chan-dae, they are conducting procedural disruptions, which is deplorable," adding, "The People Power Party strongly condemns the ruling party's oppressive committee operations and clearly states that if legislative dictatorship in the Education Committee continues, the responsibility for any disruptions lies solely with the Democratic Party of Korea and Chairman Yoo Ki-hong."
