Gyeongbuk Province Recruiting Young Farmers for '4-H' Membership ... "Fostering Local Agricultural Leaders"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 22nd that the Agricultural Technology Center is recruiting new members of the youth farmers' '4-H' who will be the main players of future Gyeongbuk agriculture.
Any farmer aged 39 or younger residing in the province can join, and applications can be submitted year-round to the Agricultural Technology Center of the city or county where they reside.
4-H stands for a sharp mind (Head) that cultivates wisdom, a loyal heart (Heart) devoted to the community, diligent hands (Hands) that take initiative, and a healthy body (Health) that maintains physical and mental health. It is a youth learning organization in the local community that practices the ideals of wisdom (智), virtue (德), labor (勞), and body (體).
Established in 1953, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Youth Farmers 4-H Association is a representative agricultural learning organization with a long history and tradition of over 70 years. Currently, about 1,000 members are active in 22 cities and counties (excluding Ulleung-gun).
