Seongbuk-gu Seokgwan-dong Presents Appreciation Plaque to Warm Winter Sponsors
Production and Delivery of Appreciation Plaques to Supporters of the '2021 Warm Winter Campaign'... Praised for Budget Savings and Eco-Friendly Plaque Production
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seokgwan-dong, Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro, Dongjang Lee Dae-hyun) is drawing attention by expressing gratitude to sponsors of the ‘2021 Warm Winter Project,’ which ended on the 15th, through the production of plaques.
Despite the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic causing economic difficulties, from November last year until the 15th of this month, the Warm Winter Project received 63 voluntary sponsorships from individuals, professional organizations, religious groups, and companies in Seokgwan-dong.
The donated goods greatly supported about 1,400 low-income households in the area. Additionally, an anonymous sponsor contributed 1,000 kg of rice and 50 boxes of ramen, further showing love for neighbors.
In response, the Seokgwan-dong Community Service Center decided to express gratitude to the sponsors who practiced sharing during these difficult times. A sponsorship plaque was produced and distributed to all sponsors who donated funds or goods. The plaques were made by recycling those used in previous events, which was well received for being environmentally conscious and budget-friendly.
One sponsor who received a plaque said, “Although I donated a small amount, I feel both embarrassed and grateful to receive a donation plaque in person,” and expressed a willingness to continue actively participating in local sharing activities.
In response, Lee Dae-hyun, Dongjang of Seokgwan-dong, expressed gratitude, saying, “Small acts of kindness come together to create great hope,” and “Everyone who practiced neighborly love during difficult times is a true sponsor.”
