Gimhae City Provides 'Pet Medical Expense' Support for Low-Income Families... Up to 240,000 Won

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 17th that it will promote a medical expense support project for companion animals raised by socially vulnerable groups.
The support project targets companion animals implanted with identification devices raised by recipients under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act and the near-poverty class. Medical expenses at animal hospitals will be supported up to 240,000 KRW per eligible household, with a co-payment ratio of 25% by the beneficiary and 75% subsidized.
The support is planned within the scope of disease prevention activities for animals, including vaccinations, and routine medical treatment and surgery (excluding tail docking, declawing, vocal cord surgery, and tear stain removal surgery), not for purchasing grooming or feed supplies.

Applicants can submit an application form at their local eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center by March 15. Gimhae City plans to disburse the subsidies by the end of December after the verification process.
