Slovenia Parliament Rejects Government No-Confidence Motion
[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] On the 15th (local time), the Slovenian parliament rejected a no-confidence motion against the conservative-leaning current government, AFP reported.
The no-confidence motion, submitted by five center-left opposition parties, received only 40 votes, falling short by 6 votes from the majority. Last week, the opposition submitted the no-confidence motion, accusing the current government led by Prime Minister Janez Jan?a of using the COVID-19 pandemic to weaken national institutions.
