On that day, Governor Kim San and county officials visited three locations?Human IT Solution Co., Ltd., Waniel, and Narae 2030 Youth Shopping District?that achieved significant results through support projects such as startup, employment, and housing expenses.
Human IT Solution Co., Ltd., located in Namak New Town, is the largest IT company in the area, achieving sales of 7 billion KRW last year. Its main businesses include smart factory solutions, VR content production, and the establishment of a smart traditional market platform.
The company is an excellent youth employment creation company with 90% of its 37 employees being youth hires. It hired 19 people last year and has consistently recruited employees and supported welfare, earning the Excellence Award in the 2020 Jeollanam-do Population Policy Excellent Company Evaluation.
Waniel is a business established last year through the Jeonnam Youth Job Creation Specialist Training Project and operates an indoor baseball franchise business equipped with self-designed baseball equipment and pitching machines.
Currently, contracts have been signed with 20 chain stores nationwide, with 8 stores in operation, employing 7 young people, and it is gaining attention as a model case of startup success.
Narae 2030 Youth Shopping District was established in April 2019 and currently houses education and media content, workshops, and beauty salons. Among them, Unique Wood (woodcraft), Dureundureun Software Cooperative (4th industry), and Enough Us (video production) have shown steady growth, achieving sales of 290 million KRW last year.
Additionally, through efforts such as designation as (preliminary) social enterprises and receiving 100 million KRW in startup funds from the Youth Startup Academy, the shopping district tenants are playing a significant role in startup incubating through their self-sustaining efforts.
Governor Kim San said, “This visit to youth businesses was a meaningful time to check the status of youth policies that have been promoted so far and to hear the voices of young people on site,” adding, “We will continue to communicate frequently with young people and strive to discover policies that youth, the policy targets, can truly feel.”
