Government Extends Special Travel Advisory Until March 17
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The government extended the special travel advisory issued due to the spread of COVID-19 on the 15th.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the special travel advisory for all overseas travel by Korean nationals, which was issued until February 15 this year, has been extended until March 17.
The special travel advisory is issued for urgent short-term risks and corresponds to travel alert level 2 (refrain from travel) or higher and level 3 (recommend evacuation) or lower.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been continuously extending the special travel advisory since it was first issued on March 23 last year due to the COVID-19 situation.

The Ministry explained that the extension was made considering the ongoing spread of COVID-19, entry bans and restrictions imposed by many countries, and suspension of flight operations.
