Jeju Coast Guard Investigates Vietnamese Crew Member for Assaulting Colleague on Fishing Vessel During Operations
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] On the 14th, a Vietnamese crew member A on a fishing vessel operating off the coast of Jeju was assaulted by another Vietnamese crew member B.
According to the Jeju Maritime Police Station on the 15th, at around 1:02 PM the previous day, a report was received that Vietnamese crew member A was assaulted by Vietnamese crew member B about 13 kilometers northwest off Hwado, Jeju City. A 500-ton patrol vessel patrolling the nearby waters was immediately dispatched.
The maritime police patrol vessel arrived at the scene around 1:25 PM, took the injured victim aboard, and entered Jeju Port around 4:12 PM, handing the victim over to the shipowner.
