Busan Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Institute Supports University Classes... Joint Teams of Professors and Students Take the Lead

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Pukyong National University has had three projects selected for the ‘2021 Regional Issue Resolution University Class Support Project’ organized by the Busan Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Institute.

In this contest, which selected a total of eight projects, Pukyong National University announced on the 15th that Professor Oh Young-sam (Department of Public Administration) was selected for the major convergence type with ‘Elderly Welfare Theory + Case Management Theory,’ Professor Jeon Jun-ho (Department of Fire Engineering) for the semester-linked type with ‘Fire Dynamics, Smoke Control Systems,’ and Professor Kim Jung-gyu (Department of Journalism and Broadcasting) for the short-term type with the ‘Capstone Design’ course.

The Busan Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Institute conducted this project contest to have professors and students directly find solutions to regional issues through classes.

The aim is for university faculty to plan lectures addressing social problems and other regional issues with students, enhancing the participating students’ capabilities while increasing their understanding of and interest in the local community.

Following the selection of these projects, Pukyong National University will receive a total project fund of 24 million KRW, ranging from 5 million to 10 million KRW per project, and plans to conduct the respective project lectures starting in March.
