Pension Management, from Account Opening to Advisory in One Go... KB Securities Offers 'MyMuffler' Service
WellsGuide Pension Advisory Service 'MyMerple' Applied via OpenAPI
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KB Securities has applied WellsGuide's pension advisory service 'My Merpler' to KB Securities' non-face-to-face trading. It is expected that pension management through KB Securities will become more convenient, from account opening to advisory services.
On the 15th, KB Securities announced that it officially launched 'My Merpler,' the nation's first integrated pension management application by WellsGuide, by integrating it into KB Securities' non-face-to-face trading-related OpenAPI system. This is to enable customers who find pension management difficult to use a one-stop service from account opening to advisory.
WellsGuide was designated as an innovative mobile pension advisory financial service in October 2019 and passed the robo-advisor review with its pension asset allocation algorithm in May last year. Until recently, 'My Merpler' was operated on a trial basis to collect, analyze, advise, and manage pension data.
With this official launch, customers can easily use all pension transaction systems of KB Securities, including applying for and using WellsGuide's pension advisory service, opening non-face-to-face accounts with KB Securities for management, transferring accounts from other financial companies, changing management (operation instructions), additional payments, and cancellations.
Customers receive pension allocation advice based on individual investment tendencies and strategic asset allocation during the investment period before pension receipt from WellsGuide, and subscribe to My Merpler exclusive products through KB Securities.
KB Securities explained that by providing various necessary infrastructures in this process through an OpenAPI method, it has expanded API-based Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) for digital ecosystem expansion in a new area of non-face-to-face pension market beyond the existing robo-advisor market.
Additionally, all customers who open individual retirement pension (IRP) accounts non-face-to-face will receive a benefit of full exemption from management and asset management fees on personal contributions made as additional payments.
Meanwhile, pension savings accounts, DC/IRP, and other pension products may incur principal losses depending on management results. Detailed information related to My Merpler can be checked by installing the application.
