Former National Security Office 1st Deputy Director Kim Yu-geun Appointed Chairman of the Military Mutual Aid Association
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter]Kim Yu-geun (Retired Lieutenant General), former First Deputy Director of the National Security Office at the Blue House, was inaugurated on the 15th as the 15th Chairman of the Military Mutual Aid Association.
Chairman Kim was elected at the 106th General Assembly, composed of 37 members including active-duty soldiers and military officials, and took office after approval from Minister of National Defense Seo Wook, the Military Mutual Aid Association reported.
In his inauguration message, he presented four major management policies: practicing transparent management, maximizing operating profit generation, stable asset management through scientific risk management, and future-oriented organizational development through management system efficiency.

Chairman Kim graduated from the 36th class of the Korea Military Academy and served as commander of the 8th Division, commander of the 8th Corps, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Deputy Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and First Deputy Director of the National Security Office.
