On the 14th (local time), according to major foreign media including Forbes, Chairman Ren recently mentioned Huawei’s 5G network quality and made these remarks.
Ren stated, "We supported the advancement of Apple iPhone 12," and emphasized, "(Huawei) helped build the best 5G networks in many cities worldwide. The networks in Europe ranked first in global network performance tests." The major cities he mentioned included Seoul along with cities in the European region.
Additionally, Chairman Ren noted that Huawei’s network equipment is also beneficial for iPhone users. He praised Apple’s dominance in the high-end segment. He claimed, "Many high-end device users in Europe use iPhones," as evidence proving the quality of Huawei’s networks built in Europe.
Forbes reported, "Chairman Ren publicly acknowledged that Apple is his inspiration," and added, "Huawei’s strategy and its efforts to dominate both software and hardware ecosystems are much closer to Apple than to Android brands like Google and Samsung Electronics." Earlier, in 2019, Ren had stated to the media, "Apple is a global leading company" and "Apple is my teacher," mentioning that both he and his daughter use Apple iPhones.
