Seocho-gu 'Non-face-to-face Free Repair Delivery Service for Assistive Devices for Disabled'
Seoul's First Phone Reservation Contactless Collection, Repair, and Delivery Service with UV Sterilization and Antibacterial Disinfection...
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seocho-gu is launching Seoul's first 'Free Repair Delivery Service for Assistive Devices for the Disabled' to ensure that disabled people with mobility difficulties can move around without inconvenience amid COVID-19.
Assistive devices, such as those for the limbs of disabled individuals, cause significant inconvenience to their mobility when they break down even once.
However, due to COVID-19 making face-to-face repairs difficult, disabled people have experienced inconvenience by being unable to leave their homes to get broken assistive devices repaired.
Accordingly, when a disabled person makes a reservation by phone, the district coordinates the pickup schedule, and on the pickup day, if the broken assistive device is placed in front of the door, repair center staff will visit to collect it, repair it, and then deliver it back to the disabled person's home by courier.
In particular, the repair center not only repairs the assistive devices but also performs ultraviolet sterilization and antibacterial disinfection before packaging and delivery, allowing safe use even amid the COVID-19 situation.
Reservations can be made at the Hanuri Assistive Device Repair Center.
