'2021 Seongbuk-gu Village Making' Contest

Supporting projects where residents directly plan and promote to recognize and solve village issues and needs... Five areas: Neighbor Making, Cheongcheong Village Making, Uri Village Making, Uri Society Making, Alley Making

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu is conducting the 2021 Seongbuk-gu Village Making Contest project titled "Seongbuk Village Made Together!" to revitalize the Seongbuk village community.

The village making contest project is a project where residents directly plan and promote to recognize and solve problems and needs in various fields within the village such as safety, communication, welfare, culture, and environment.

The project period is from May to October this year, with a total support budget of 73 million KRW, providing up to 3 million KRW per village community.

Applicants must be resident groups (3 or more people) or organizations (non-profit private corporations, non-profit private organizations) whose residence or living area (workplace, school, etc.) is in Seongbuk-gu.

Applications can be submitted by filling out the project plan and participant list announced on the district website.

The 2021 Seongbuk-gu Village Making Contest project is conducted in five fields: ▲New neighborhood-based village community group activities "Neighbor Making" ▲Youth-led village community activities "Cheongcheong Village Making" ▲Continuous village community project activities "Our Village Making" ▲Village-level activities related to social issues "Making Our Society" ▲Alley-based community revitalization activities "Alley Making."

The evaluation criteria mainly assess the necessity, originality, effectiveness of the proposed project, and regional connectivity through the utilization of local resources, with the final selection expected to be announced in April.

To promote residents' understanding and active participation, detailed support conditions and contents by project field and instructions on how to write the project plan are provided online.

Additionally, the Seongbuk-gu Village Social Economy Center offers consultations for residents who find it difficult to write project proposals.

The 2021 Seongbuk-gu Village Making Contest project applications can be submitted online through the Seoul Village Community Comprehensive Support Center website until February 26.
