View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] The Ministry of Health and Welfare provides information on hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, as well as screening clinics and temporary screening testing sites that are open during the Lunar New Year holiday period to minimize inconvenience for citizens using medical services and to prevent medical service gaps during the holiday.
According to the Ministry, 504 emergency room operating institutions will provide 24-hour care as usual, and some public health medical institutions, including public health centers, will continue to provide care even on the 12th, the day of Lunar New Year, when many private medical institutions are closed. During the four-day Lunar New Year holiday, an average daily number of institutions open will include ▲504 emergency room operating institutions ▲324 public health medical institutions ▲2005 private medical institutions ▲3695 pharmacies ▲404 screening clinics ▲134 temporary screening testing sites.
To provide this information more easily, the Ministry plans to offer various access routes. When searching for 'Myeongjeol Byeongwon' (Holiday Hospital) on major portals such as Naver and Daum, the 'Emergency Medical Portal E-Gen' will be prominently displayed to improve accessibility for citizens. From the 11th, the Ministry will switch the Emergency Medical Portal screen to a holiday-dedicated interface and provide a separate notification window where users can check information on hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, screening clinics, and temporary screening testing sites that are open.
Additionally, information will be provided through the Health and Welfare Call Center 129, Emergency Situation Management Center 119, city/province call centers 120, the Ministry of Health and Welfare website, and the Emergency Medical Information Application.
