SK Inno "Regrettable ITC Decision, But Glad to Supply Ford and Volkswagen"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Innovation expressed regret over the recent decision by the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).
On the 11th, SK Innovation stated, "It is unfortunate that the core issue of trade secret infringement in the lawsuit was not substantively proven. However, we are relieved that a grace period was granted to allow us to supply batteries to Ford and Volkswagen to protect our customers."
SK Innovation added, "To ensure there are no disruptions in battery production within the U.S., we plan to focus on conveying the public interest impact through the remaining procedures (such as the Presidential Review), emphasizing that SK batteries of high safety and quality, along with our Georgia plant, will play an essential and pivotal role in the eco-friendly automotive industry strongly promoted by the U.S. government, as well as the creation of thousands of quality jobs."
