On February 9, the Jungbu Branch conducted the 'Public Officials' Lunar New Year Good Gift Sharing Campaign' to help farmers, fishermen, and vulnerable groups struggling due to COVID-19.
Employees purchased agricultural products from regions severely affected by last summer's floods in celebration of the Lunar New Year. They delivered gifts to people with disabilities at the Busan Dong-gu Disabled Welfare Center, who are spending the holiday amid the prolonged COVID-19 crisis, which has been more challenging than ever.
The donated items were purchased using social contribution funds voluntarily raised by employees every month.
An Byung-woon, Branch Manager of Busan Jungbu, said, "In the prolonged COVID-19 crisis, we want to ease the pain of vulnerable groups who will have a harder time during the holiday season than ever before."
He added, "Through voluntary sharing activities, we hope that the donated items from the Service will bring hope and comfort to local residents as a symbol of sharing even a little."
