According to the police and media reports on the 10th, around 10 a.m. on the 8th, a resident passing by found Mr. A deceased on the first floor of an apartment in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, and reported it to 119.
Mr. A was investigated to be a new public official (Grade 9) who was assigned to the Daejeon Employment Center on the 18th of last month, received remote training, and started his first day at work on the 1st.
The police believe Mr. A jumped from his apartment at home. It was confirmed that there was no note that appeared to be a suicide letter nearby.
Mr. A, who worked for one week until the 7th, was in charge of counseling for the National Employment System. During this period, it was revealed that Mr. A worked 17 hours of overtime.
Before his death, Mr. A complained, "Even if I want to ask about work, all the staff are busy, so I can't ask, which is difficult. There is no cabinet in the office to store documents."
Regarding this, the police stated, "We are investigating the deceased woman’s family and colleagues, but some media reports that she was struggling due to work have not been confirmed as true," adding, "The detailed circumstances of the death are under investigation."
