Construction of a Self-Sufficient City People Want to Live in Through Accelerated Urban Development Projects
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] On the 10th, Kim Kyung-ho, Deputy Mayor of Gwangyang City, announced that on the 8th, he visited urban development project sites prioritized by the 7th elected Gwangyang City administration to inspect the sites.
On that day, Deputy Mayor Kim visited the developing Wau District, Gwangyeong-Oeam District, Seonghwang-Doi District, as well as the Inseo District and Seonghwang-Doi 2 District planned for future development, the privately promoted Mokseong District, Hwanggeum District, Hwanggil District, and the Deokrye-Dowol District urban development project sites promoted by Jeonnam Development Corporation, receiving reports on construction status and project progress.
Through this inspection, Deputy Mayor Kim pledged to do his best to support the management of completed site facilities and ensure no inconvenience for residents moving into apartment complexes. For ongoing projects, he urged efforts to comply with quarantine management for site managers and laborers in response to COVID-19, as well as to ensure site safety management and prevent poor construction.
Additionally, he emphasized active cooperation between the city and private sectors as well as Jeonnam Development Corporation in administrative procedures and guidance for the projects. He also ordered that the upcoming urban development projects in Inseo District and Seonghwang-Doi 2 District be promoted with a sense of urgency to build a 300,000 self-sufficient city.
