The Seogwipo Coast Guard checked ▲whether an adequate number of lifesaving equipment are stocked at the docks ▲the risk of safety accidents during passenger boarding and disembarking and identification of hazardous areas within the docks ▲and the on-site response management situation in case of emergencies.
Dogibeom, Chief of the Seogwipo Coast Guard, said, “Amid social distancing due to COVID-19, we will do our best in maritime safety management so that the public can have a safe and relaxing Lunar New Year holiday.” He added, “We will also make every effort to establish an emergency response system to ensure there are no gaps in public safety and security.”
