[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] NH Nonghyup Financial Group is focusing on sharing events in celebration of the Lunar New Year. Son Byung-hwan, Chairman of NH Nonghyup Financial Group, visited military units, while NH Nonghyup Bank held a rose flower sharing event on the same day to support flower farmers. Nonghyup Financial Group plans to continue various social contribution activities.
On the 9th, Chairman Son visited the Army Maengho Unit located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, to encourage soldiers who are working hard to defend the homeland.
Since 2014, Nonghyup Financial Group has annually visited military units ahead of the Lunar New Year to offer consolation, and this year, they visited the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division (Maengho Unit), which plays a pivotal role in defending the metropolitan area, delivering consolation gifts and expressing gratitude.
In his words of encouragement, Chairman Son said, “I thank all the soldiers of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces who are fulfilling their national defense duties away from their families even during the Lunar New Year holiday,” adding, “I hope this brings some comfort to the soldiers who are dedicated to protecting the country and its people despite COVID-19 and the cold weather.”

NH Nonghyup Bank held a rose flower sharing event for its corporate clients and employees to support flower farmers who are struggling due to the cancellation of various events such as graduation ceremonies amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the event, Jung Woo-il, Head of the Jongno Large Corporate Finance Center at NH Nonghyup Bank, and staff distributed roses and baby's breath flowers to employees of Eugene Corporation located in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and took the lead in promoting the campaign by installing banners supporting Korean flower farmers.
On the same day, the Gangnam Large Corporate Finance Center held a similar event at the headquarters of Moorim Paper located in Gangnam-gu. On the 17th, employees from the Gwanghwamun Large Corporate Finance Center will hold a rose flower sharing event at the GS Construction headquarters in Jongno-gu.
