Inspecting and Managing Construction Sites with Phone Cameras... Daewoo Construction Develops Contactless Solution
'COCO (Co-work of Construction)' Development Completed
Photo-Based Safety and Construction Issue Sharing and Tracking Management
Daewoo E&C announced on the 9th that it has completed the development of 'COCO (Co-work of Construction)', a photo-based collaboration solution to support non-face-to-face collaboration environments among workers at construction sites.
COCO is an application developed to facilitate fast and accurate communication at construction sites in the non-face-to-face era, which has become commonplace due to COVID-19. Users can take photos of site issues or hazards, select user and work type tags, and request action from the person in charge. The entire process can be tracked and managed in real time until the task is completed.
Additionally, users can download all photos created during the collaboration process by site, author, or work type tag, or automatically generate photo report sheets.
While basic features such as creating group chat rooms, sending photo files, and push notifications are similar to general SNS, COCO differentiates itself by providing a service environment tailored to the needs of construction sites, enhancing work convenience.
Users can search or filter other people's posts and photos without entering the group chat room, as long as they belong to the registered group, making it easier to grasp information. They can view all work history prior to the group invitation, and even if they leave and are re-invited to the group chat room, they can check all past work records.

Moreover, COCO reduces unnecessary work time and improves collaboration efficiency at construction sites through member management by site and task, one-touch photo shooting and editing functions. The photo capture prevention feature makes it difficult for site information to be leaked externally, and by separating work and private life, it also blocks compliance risks.
Since last year, Daewoo E&C has distributed a test version of COCO to 21 domestic sites for pilot operation, and completed revisions and improvements based on user feedback. Reflecting users' requests to work on daily work reports and photo report sheets, which must be submitted daily, in a wider PC environment rather than a narrow mobile screen, a PC version was also added.
