View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] The National Assembly's Environment and Labor Committee decided on the 8th to hold a hearing on industrial accidents targeting companies such as courier services and construction firms on the 22nd.
On the same day, the Environment and Labor Committee held a plenary session at the National Assembly and agreed on the plan to conduct the hearing, the attendance of witnesses and reference persons, and the request for submission of materials.
Accordingly, the Environment and Labor Committee will hold a plenary session at 10 a.m. on the 22nd at the National Assembly, receive a report from the Ministry of Employment and Labor on the current status and measures regarding industrial accidents, and then hold a hearing related to industrial accidents.
Nine witnesses and one reference person are expected to attend the industrial accident hearing. Witnesses include Joseph Nathan Notman, CEO of Coupang Fulfillment Service; Park Geun-hee, CEO of CJ Logistics; and Park Chan-bok, CEO of Lotte Global Logistics, all representing courier companies.
Also attending as witnesses are Woo Moo-hyun, CEO of GS Construction; Han Sung-hee, CEO of POSCO Construction; Lee Won-woo, CEO of Hyundai Construction; Han Young-seok, CEO of Hyundai Heavy Industries; Choi Jung-woo, CEO of POSCO; and Jung Ho-young, CEO of LG Display, representing construction companies. Additionally, Lee Jung-ik, CEO of Seokwang Comprehensive Development, will attend as a reference person.
