Government to Foster Solo Advertising Content Creators
Establishment of Expert Consultation Process... Increased Practical Training in Advertising Filming and Editing and Lectures on Entrepreneurship
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO) announced on the 8th that they will continue the project to nurture individual advertising content creators, which was launched last year.
This educational program aims to develop skills in advertising planning, filming, and editing, and guide participants on the path to entrepreneurship. This year, a mentoring program with expert consultations has been newly introduced to provide more effective startup support. Practical training in advertising filming and editing, as well as lectures related to entrepreneurship, have also been expanded.
The Ministry and KOBACO will also promote a project connecting trainees with low-budget advertisers. A contest for advertising production linked to advertisers will be held for graduates, and the winning works will be provided for use by the respective advertisers for one year.
Kang Ji-eun, Director of the Broadcasting and Video Advertising Division at the Ministry’s Media Policy Bureau, explained, "Graduates gain experience in advertising production, while low-budget advertisers promote their businesses with high-quality advertising content." She added, "We will help trainees gain opportunities to produce actual advertising content and lay the foundation for entrepreneurship by holding briefing sessions on advertising production support for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business advertisers."

This year’s educational program will be conducted twice. Forty-eight students will be recruited for the 3rd session by the 22nd, with training running until mid-June. The 4th session will recruit students at the end of July and begin training in August. For more details, please refer to the KOBACO Advertising Education Center website.
