"Get a Culture Gift Card by Certifying Youth Stay-at-Home and Sending Non-Face-to-Face Greetings"
Event for Youth from the 8th to the 17th
Mobile Culture Gift Cards for First Come, First Served and Outstanding Participants
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is conducting a social distancing campaign targeting youth ahead of the Seollal holiday.
As the Seollal holiday is a critical turning point for the resurgence of COVID-19, an event is being held for young people to participate in social efforts.
A web poster containing major COVID-19 prevention guidelines and countermeasures will be created and posted on the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family’s website as well as related organizations’ websites such as youth groups. An event to send messages informing relatives, friends, and others around them about prevention guidelines and government measures will also be held.
Due to COVID-19 making it difficult to meet, events such as ‘Sending Non-face-to-face Greetings’ to relatives like grandparents and ‘Uploading Photos Certifying Wise Home Life’ will be conducted.
This event will run from the 8th to the 17th. Among participating youth, the first 1,000 will receive a mobile cultural gift certificate worth 10,000 KRW, and 100 outstanding participants will receive a mobile cultural gift certificate worth 50,000 KRW.

Jung Young-ae, Minister of Gender Equality and Family, said, "It is regrettable that we cannot be with family and relatives whom we have not seen for a long time during this Seollal as well, but I ask everyone to refrain from traveling during the holiday period and actively participate in prevention efforts so that we can overcome the current crisis." She added, "I hope many young people will show interest and participate so that they can send greetings non-face-to-face and spend a warm and safe Seollal holiday through various activities with their families at home."
