Gangnam-gu Delivers 'Seolnal 3-Piece Set' (Ready Meals, Winter Supplies, Functional Foods) to Neighbors in Need
20 Volunteers from Gangnam-gu and 10 from POSCO Talent Volunteer Group Participate, Ildong Pharmaceutical and KEPCO KDN Sponsor Sharing Activities with Ready-to-Eat Meals, Winter Supplies, and Health Supplements for 502 Vulnerable Households
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is conducting the ‘Three Types of Lunar New Year Volunteer Activities’ to support 502 vulnerable households in the area with non-cooked convenience foods, winter supplies, and health functional foods through the Gangnam-gu Volunteer Center until the 25th.
The district planned this volunteer activity with the intention of helping vulnerable groups during the Lunar New Year holiday.
Twenty Gangnam-gu volunteers and ten members of the POSCO Talent Volunteer Group are participating. Sponsored by Ildong Pharmaceutical and KEPCO KDN, this activity consists of three programs: ‘Bok Dream’, ‘Health Dream’, and ‘On Sarang Dream’.
‘Bok Dream’, held on the 9th, delivers six types of convenience foods such as instant meals and canned goods to 100 households including unauthorized housing in Gaepo 4-dong and nearby elderly and disabled families. ‘Health Dream’ is a program that delivers health functional foods and masks to 350 elderly and disabled households from the 9th to the 25th.
The POSCO Talent Volunteer Group previously carried out the ‘On Sarang Dream’ volunteer activity on the 6th, delivering hand-knitted wheelchair cushions, hats, scarves, gloves, and three types of winter supplies, as well as rice cake soup sets to 52 elderly disabled households in Irwon 2-dong.

Meanwhile, the district has been continuing the ‘Warm Scarf Knitting’ project for nine years, where residents knit scarves to share with neighbors. Last year, 136 scarves were delivered to elderly living alone and disabled families in cooperation with five local social welfare facilities.
