Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Awards 108 Million Won in Scholarships to Student Heads of Households
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 4th that it delivered scholarships and letters of encouragement to student heads of households and foster heads of households in the province in celebration of Seollal, the traditional Korean lunar new year holiday.
Since 1989, the Office of Education has been providing scholarships annually to boy and girl student heads of households. This year, the amount per student was increased by 100% in preparation for Seollal, set at 300,000 KRW for grade A and 200,000 KRW for grades B to C, delivering a total of 108 million KRW to 435 beneficiary students.
