[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] KOTRA announced on the 3rd that it held an online briefing session to support the entry of our small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies into the Japanese e-commerce platform 'Amazon'.
During the briefing held through the YouTube channel KOTRA Business, the overseas joint logistics center project was introduced. Companies participating in this project can receive support for import agency services to the Amazon fulfillment center, inland transportation including packaging, delivery, warehousing, and shipping, as well as warehouse usage fees through local logistics companies selected by KOTRA.
Amazon's FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) is a service where sellers store their products at Amazon fulfillment centers, and Amazon handles picking, packing, and shipping. Using this service enables fast and accurate delivery.
Jeon Sang-woon, Amazon Korea manager and speaker at the briefing, said, "The size and potential of the Japanese e-commerce market are large, and the trends are similar to those in our country. By using Amazon FBA services, Amazon handles delivery and customer service, allowing our SMEs and mid-sized companies with limited experience to easily start e-commerce."
