Hyundai Motor Appoints Vice President Shimiaera as CMO to Strengthen Brand Marketing
High-Performance Car Brand N and Electric Vehicle Brand Likely to Strengthen Marketing Efforts
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hyundai Motor Group is strengthening its brand marketing through organizational restructuring.
On the 3rd, Hyundai Motor Group announced that it recently appointed Thomas Schimiera, Head of Product Division at Hyundai Motor and Kia (Vice President), as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Head of Customer Experience Division.
Based on approximately 30 years of accumulated experience and expertise at BMW and BMW's high-performance vehicle division, Schimiera joined Hyundai Motor in 2018 and has been planning the direction of the high-performance vehicle business.
Accordingly, Cho Won-hong, the former head of the Customer Experience Division, will be in charge of brand strategy support. Additionally, Kim Heung-soo, Executive Director, has been appointed as Head of the Product Division, overseeing the Product Strategy Business Unit and the Electric Vehicle (EV) Business Unit.
