Naju-si Supports Conversion of Children's School Vehicles to LPG Cars
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 3rd that it will promote the ‘Support Project for Converting Children's School Vehicles to LPG Vehicles’ to protect children's health and improve air quality.
This project provides a subsidy of 7 million KRW per vehicle (total of 40 vehicles) when purchasing a small LPG-powered van (9-15 seats) after scrapping an old diesel school vehicle.
The support target is vehicle owners who have the registered address of the children's school vehicle registration certificate in the city and purchase a new LPG children's school vehicle.
In the case of co-owners, one person meeting the conditions can apply.
In particular, this year, with the establishment of a special provision, the support target has been expanded to allow applications for purchasing a new LPG children's school vehicle regardless of whether the old vehicle is scrapped.
Applications must be submitted by the 10th by filling out the application form posted in the announcement section on the city hall website and submitting it in person or by mail to the Environmental Management Division.
